The Coalition hours are 9AM – 5PM, Monday through Friday. Shifts are flexible.
Citation Assistance
This position is Monday and Wednesday from 10AM – Noon.

I want to recommend that an effort is made to create parking areas for homeless people with at least porta potties. Many homeless people have cars and they have no place that they can legally park. This would be relatively easy to create as we have many state, federal, and local parks. All that would be necessary would be rule changes that would be helpful and considerate of the people less fortunate than ourselves. Thank you. Heidi
Hello Heidi,
Attempting to locate adequate parking for the large vehicles targeted by the ban is one of the tasks to be undertaken within 90 days from the passage of this measure. Unfortunately, there’s little hope of such facilities being found and enforcement of the law is not contingent upon doing so. Park codes, for the most part, already prohibit sleeping overnight in a vehicle. If the board can’t be convinced to not enforce the parking ban, the folks living in their vehicles will have no legal place to park that is even remotely practical. When they are ticketed and can’t pay the fine, towing, and storage fees, the city will take what’s usually their last possession and auction it away for profit. Thanks Carmen and Melia
